Looking for an off-road Transportable Scooter – Kansas City

I’m 87 and enjoy going treasure hunting / metal detecting with my grandson.  It is difficult to get across the uneven terrain.  I love going out and enjoying time with him. I don’t have the balance and coordination I used to have. I would like to find a scooter or wheelchair that would go off-road, be easy to bring along in my vehicle and goes at a decent speed.  Does anybody know of any device like this?

Here are some products and services that may help you. Also, check in the comments section at the bottom of the page for more great ideas!

This all terrain scooter is built to take you where you want to go. It has pneumatic wheels and a suspension system. It weighs 425 lobs, so it may not be so easy to transport – unless you get a rack to put on the back of the car. It can go up to 25 miles before you need to recharge it. It can travel up to 8 mph.

If you have a wheelchair or scooter that you would like to bring along with you, investigate installing a rack to the back of your car.  You will need to make sure it fits your scooter or wheelchair and the weight capacity is appropriate.  You will need to have a hitch installed on your vehicle if you don’t already have one. You may wish to consult with a local Mobility Dealer who can do the installation for you. Don’t let Mobility challenges keep you at home!
